By accessing or using the Cognisen website and services (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you’re accessing the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Service Description

Cognisen offers AI-powered software and automation tools designed to augment human labor across community supervision and business operations. Features include integrated workflows, officer guidance, and CJIS-compliant data handling.

3. Eligibility & Account Registration

  • 3.1 Only authorized users affiliated with organizations under a Master Services Agreement (MSA) may use the Service.
  • 3.2 You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Permitted & Prohibited Usage

Allowed uses include authorized professional, governmental, or administrative tasks as defined by your organization.

You may not:

  • Use the Service for personal or unlawful purposes.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass security provisions.
  • Transmit malware, spam, or malicious code.
  • Misrepresent data or manipulate system integrity.

5. Data Privacy & Security

Cognisen adheres to CJIS security standards—data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Your data remains under your control, and is not used for AI training beyond your organization’s boundaries.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights to the Service, including software, documentation, and trademarks, belong to Cognisen. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service per your authorized scope.

7. Termination

Access may be suspended or terminated by your organization or by Cognisen for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the Service and delete all proprietary content obtained via the Service.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as-is” and “as-available,” with no warranties of fitness or uninterrupted availability. Cognisen, to the maximum extent allowed by law, is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms; any changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
